Hi! I am a Master's student in Computer Science at ETH Zurich, where I specialize in the theory of language models. I work in Ryan Cotterell's lab on learning theory of formal language models.
I am also deeply interested in the ethics of AI and large language models. I like to explore questions at the intersection of LLMs, philosophy, and politics. My last work, supervised by Zhijing Jin, Bernhard Schölkopf and Rada Mihalcea, focused on understanding democratic–authoritarian bias in language models (paper).
I hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from TU Graz, where I was featured on the Dean's List twice. My Bachelor's thesis, supervised by Elisabeth Lex, explored the reception of the Russo-Ukrainian war in diverse online communities, focusing on conspiracy theories.
Outside of academia, I enjoy ballroom dancing, mountaineering, reading and drawing 🎨💃🏻 (Always happy to swap hiking routes or book recommendations!) See the Random page for questions I like to discuss and some of my favorite riddles.
