Computer Scientist

Hi! I am a Master's student in Computer Science at ETH Zurich, where I specialize in the theory of language models. I work in Ryan Cotterell's lab on the formal properties of finite state automata and their relation to language model behavior.

I am also deeply interested in the ethics of AI and large language models. I explore questions at the intersection of LLMs, philosophy, and politics, and currently work with Zhijing Jin on understanding democratic–authoritarian bias in language models (paper).

I hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from TU Graz, where I was featured on the Dean's List twice. My Bachelor's thesis, supervised by Elisabeth Lex, explored the reception of the Russo-Ukrainian war in diverse online communities, focusing on conspiracy theories.

Outside of academia, I enjoy ballroom dancing, mountaineering, reading and drawing 🎨💃🏻 (Always happy to swap hiking routes or book recommendations!)
